Nespresso Lattissima Touch Original Espresso Machine with Milk Frother by De'Longhi, Black

There are two typical sub-brands of the Nespresso Lattissima coffee machine, rejecting the occasional one-off model.

The two types are the Lattisssima plus and Latissima pro.

Features Nespresso Lattissima Touch

The Nespresso Lattisima pro is the luxury edition of the plus model. It has a more refined metallic finish and blue illuminated light to make the machine look perfect on your countertop.

The most significant difference when using day-to-day is a touch display screen.

The Nespresso Lattissima plus uses regular keys instead of a touch screen display and does not have a backlight. However, in terms of practical features, the two are pretty similar.

Anyway, for those wishing to froth their milk, for example, we would advise the Pro version, which comes with its milk frother and an auto-clean feature that could come in handy for long-term maintenance.

This comes at a cost, and the Lattissima pro is more costly than the Lattissima Plus.

Consumers on a budget would advise the Lattissima plus – anyway. However, there is no denying that the Lattissima Pro is the top-of-the-range model.

What coffee can I make with a Nespresso Lattissima?

Nespresso Lattissima machines are generally designed with milk-based coffee in mind, hence adding the milk tank.

Anyway, it is not all that they can do. Regular non-milk coffee is also easy, and the pre-set drink menu on the Lattissima pro contains six choices:

  • Lungo
  • Ristretto
  • Espresso
  • Hot
  • Milk
  • Cappuccino
  • Cafe latte

There are five as opposed to 6 choices on the Lattissima plus model.

The pro version also has an auto-clean spec and a milk frother for lovers who favor preparing milk-based drinks.

Finally, note that the Lattissima pro has much bigger water and milk tank capacity.

My name is Logan, and Italian Coffee Lover, deeply in love with Espresso and Cappuccino. I can't live without the smell of coffee in the morning :) In short, I love coffee. I started this website to talk about coffee, coffee beans, coffee grinders, and the Italian Coffee Maker. Italian Coffee Makers is a one-stop destination for all things related to the best Italian Coffee Lover, guides, tips and best product reviews that are tested by the team. Each of the espresso machines and coffee makers is rigorously tested to ensure it meets the standards of excellence. It’s only my opinion of course, but I have had some of the best (and worst) coffee from around the world. I can tell you for sure that the Italians take coffee seriously. It is more than a casual drink or quick start for the day…it is part of the national identity. It should be no surprise that the Italian coffee maker produces some of the best coffee you could hope to drink.
